It’s okay to wear white after Labor Day, this is no longer a fashion rule. Be rebellious and wear the color white the whole way through winter! Don’t let the old school fashion rules scare you away. Here I tried to go for a softer end of summer look, pairing light pink with the white tones. I always wear these Valentino look a likes, I can’t get enough of the edge they put on any look.

I recently made a trip to Forever 21 and picked up this red circle skirt. I have always loved the look of circle skirts, but have never purchased one. I’m so late to embrace this trend but I had to get this when I saw it in red. When I wore this circle skirt, I had a little trouble deciding what to pair with it, probably due to the fact half that I only have half of my wardrobe to choose from. Closet downsizing for college is the worst!
I decided to go with a boxy lace shirt and a skinny silver belt. This combination took me from day to night seamlessly!

No, I have not given up on blogging. I know it has been an eternity since I last posted, but so much has been changing in my life. There have been so many new beginnings, I recently started my first year at college, which has already been an amazing whirlwind. I can’t wait to share some college outfit ideas!
These photos are old, I took them with the intent of posting them a few weeks ago, but college happened. I wore this outfit for an event at my summer job! I wanted to stay professional but still show my personal style, so I wore this lace H&M skirt with a Schoolboy blazer.

You are probably tired of seeing all my work clothes by now, I finally have some down time to dress casually before I start school. It has gotten way to cold in my area, I’m talking fall temperatures, so I had to adapt my usual shorts outfit. I reached for several of my favorite pieces, and I apologize if you have seen this outfit before. I also wanted to showcase my new hair! It’s not drastic but I absolutely love the change, I needed something fresh for the upcoming season, and I think my colorist Pamela did a fabulous job! Also sorry for the poor quality iPhone pictures, I forgot my camera!!

This look is really simple but I love how it subtly showcases my personal style. I wore my orange boyfriend pants with a simple navy tee. I dressed the look up to be office appropriate by adding some accessories including necklaces and a cheetah belt. Almost everything I am wearing is from Gap. This was totally unplanned and I didn’t realize it until I was filling out the “What I’m Wearing” section at the bottom of this post.

We are now nearing the end of summer. Pause for a second to collect your thoughts, because it has gone way too fast! I keep having to be reminded what week it is. I’m sure you have worn your favorite sundresses so much this season and are almost sick of them by now. Don’t worry; I’m here to give you a little tip to squeeze the last bit of life out of your over-worn sundresses. Take inspiration from this pink and orange outfit. Recall this target sundress from last season???
I didn’t cut it apart and sew a skirt, I just folded it down! You can do this with almost any dress that has a somewhat fitted top, or has elastic. I added a belt to my skirt/dress just to add some more shape! Hopefully this little trick helps you rejuvenate your closet to make it through these last weeks of summer.

Every now and then we find ourselves in a fashion rut, finding it troubling to mix and match new combinations. This week, I noticed I kept reverting to already-worn outfits. By already-worn outfits, I don’t mean clothing worn just once, I mean clothes that I always pair together. I just couldn’t come up with a new combination to wear, so I reverted to my outfit idea board on Pinterest. Usually, this gives me enough inspiration to pull together something fabulous. However, Pinterest was just not cutting it for me today. I had to go into my personal fashion archives, where I found this J. Crew look book, and stole the look.
Sometimes it can be discouraging looking through catalogs and not having the exact pieces the models are wearing. But you have to think: what do I have similar to the articles in my closet? For me, the statement sleeve top in the catalog reminded me of this royal blue blouse I never wear. My pants are almost the same as the J. Crew pair. If you find a look you love, try to recreate it with things you already own. If you can’t make the perfect outfit, try buying one or two items instead of the whole already put together look. I think it is okay to gain inspiration and occasionally copy outfits like I did here, but you have to limit yourself before your personal style gets altered.

White outs are no longer just for Winter, you can create a white on white look that is perfect for touring flower gardens or spending a day in the office. I was lucky enough to be able to do both in this attire. I planned ahead with the floral shoes knowing I was going to a garden. They were the perfect touch for the whimsical atmosphere of a garden. Try and replicate this look for yourself by wearing two white pieces, but look for one with an interesting texture like my baroque printed skirt. Then add some accessories and you have a fabulous look!
Check out this crazy moth I found while capturing these photos! It was the biggest moth I’ve ever seen.

No worries, I didn’t die of heat in this outfit, it was actually a chilly day. I still wanted a summer look so I reached for my mint green pants, and I paired them with a dotted blouse. This blouse is perfect because it is a polyester, a very lightweight material.
I have been so obsessed with lavender nail polish lately, this particular color was shared with me by my grandma. It is the brand Avon. My rings are from a store I recently discovered called Charming Charlie. They have every accessory you can ever think of, and perhaps the best part is, their store is organized by color sections! I bought these at their Pittsburgh location.

For my 100th post, I’ve decided to go back to the classics in work clothes. This black and white outfit defines business casual. It was perfect for my press conference at work and board meeting! (I feel so grown up when I saying that!!) My outfit is a perfect layout for the structure you should follow when getting dressed for the office. It combines clothes that already work, like the pencil skirt, and adds an unexpected element of peplum.
I felt the pearls went perfectly with this classic reformed look! A little style secret is that the necklace is actually sewn on my shirt, making this outfit thoughtless to pull together!
My job requires me to be in and outside all day, so I always carry around a pair of sunglasses, sometimes two! They are good to have, not only to protect your eyes and prevent wrinkles, but also to add a whole new level of chic!
