I bought this dress in New York last month and have been waiting to wear it with bare legs! Finally I am able to wear this statement dress.
I bought this dress because it was a complete outfit. With the embellished high neck you wouldn’t have to wear any jewelry, but I did wear a bracelet I made in my crafts class. I used a copper enameling technique to make it! My classic pumps are Steve Madden.
I am partaking in something very new today, the Uniquely You Campaign for Mod Cloth
. My collage of pieces is centered around the Bouquet of the Season Dress
. It is the perfect no-brainer dress for any event you have coming up, such as a wedding, outdoor party, or a relaxing Sunday lunch out.
When I first saw the dress, I noticed how it really was like a bouquet. This being said, I was careful not to overdo it with many frilly items. For the shoes, I wanted something unexpected, just like Mod Cloth’s Live for Today Wedge in Taupe.
When the temperature rises, the need for arm candy becomes even more prominent. I chose the Time Floats Watch in Gold. Paired together, this watch adds the perfect amount of hardware to a soft look.
Mod Cloth’s Lacy Day Off Cardigan and Un-teal the Clouds Clear Umbrella are staples for the month of April. You never know when the infamous Showers of April will spring upon us (pun intended).
If you wear this look out, you will need a place to put the essentials (phone, money, etc.). The Buck Cherry Wallet adds the perfect bit of quirkiness!
P.S. If you are just not a floral girl, check out other cute dresses at Mod Cloth. They have so many unique styles, but fair warning, you may want all of them!
This year I spent Easter out of town, it was something totally new. My family and I usually spend the day at my grandparent’s home. It was a great experience and allowed for a fabulous change in scenery. I hope everyone had a great summer-teaser weekend!
I paired white on white with a pop of pink tweed for my Easter dinner look. I ended up ditching the jacket because it was so warm outside! I put on these pastel earrings to broaden my pastel color pallet.
My love for hockey is one thing I have never before expressed on my blog. With the Stanley Cup playoffs having already begun, and my favorite team, the Pittsburgh Penguin’s game tonight, I wanted to share how to make your team jersey a little more fashion forward.
Don’t get me wrong, I totally rock simple jerseys without a second thought, but sometimes I like to dress it up. I wore my tee jersey, it’s a little easier to modify than a full blown jersey. I wore a yellowish-gold cardigan, an easy way to add some femininity to a masculine outfit, without wearing a pink bedazzled jersey.
Doing your hair can also help polish off your sporty look, without looking like you tried too hard. To achieve my waves, I used a Paul Mitchell curling wand and then brushed them out.
It’s a spring day, chilly but sunny. What does one wear?
My best advice would be skinny khakis, a chambray button down, and a pair of sandal wedges. This pairing is a classic that can be adapted for many occasions. I put neon earrings on and put my hair down for a look perfect for brunch.
Keep it simple this spring,
This outfit is one I was sad to take off. It was the perfect combination of my style, mixing both menswear and feminine pieces.
The gray in this look compliments the candy colored pants, but the lace keeps it feminine and put together. I love the “I’m dressed casually, but ready to dance” vibe my sequined flats give off.
XOXO the girl with glitter on her shoes,
When spring rolls around, everyone softens up their look with florals and pastels. Although I love lightening up, it’s fun to throw in a unexpected element with some edge: like my shoes. I’m am obsessed with studded shoes and demolished jeans. My color pallet, soft neutrals, is the most obvious spring update, but the shoes are really what make the outfit mine.
Keep it simple to compliment your favorite pieces.
